About Sharlene
Background
When I was in preschool, my favorite time of day was when I was allowed the freedom to let my imagination create new things from the world around me. I can rarely see only one purpose for anything, and love to create art with both form and function, and refuse to be held by one art form. I have been writing pysanki eggs for more than 40 years and love teaching.
Medium
My favorite medium is oils, with some watercolor and pen and ink work. Pottery has always been a part of my interest and I love creating new items. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.
Inspiration
Inspiration
My inspiration comes from the need to create something that fulfills a function. Now, in my senior years, I enjoy leading workshops in bringing my art to new generations.
